Coaching people navigating change in midlife

Who in midlife isn't navigating change? We all have something going on, whether we chose the change or not. The question is, how are you going to get through it to the place where you want to be?

Maybe you'd like some help? Someone with whom to bounce ideas around, who will listen and then ask questions that help you figure things out? I'm Nicole, and I'm that person. See more about me on the About page.

Finding your way is hard

Life doesn't happen in a straight line - it's a winding, branching path, with offshoots that sometimes lead nowhere and other times lead to fantastic experiences. My coaching focus is on helping you navigate that path, whether the twists and turns and obstacles are imposed upon you or self-selected. Our careers wind along the path, intertwining with family, community, health, finances, values, and so on. Later, retirement brings its own changes to navigate. I work with people in midlife experiencing all types of change who want to gain clarity about who they are, where they want to go, and how they're going to get there.

Navigating midlife can be lonely

Even when you're surrounded by people it can be hard to find someone to talk to about your own life and goals. Family, friends, neighbors, colleagues usually mean well, but often they are either too focused on their own challenges to listen to yours, need things from you, or give advice that you didn't ask for (and won't use!).

Where do you want to go?

Midlife is a good time to take a breath, review where you've been, and adjust course as needed. You can use the wisdom you've gained through your experiences to question identities, beliefs, or habits that might be holding you back - or confirm that they truly are foundational for you. Focusing on growth and curiosity, with a coach walking alongside you, can enable you to cultivate your purpose for the next phase of your life.
